LONDON -- A Kuwaiti parliamentary investigation committee is due today to launch its investigation into allegations of corruption surrounding the supply of fuel by state Kuwait Petroleum Corp. (KPC) to a Kuwaiti subcontractor to the US Army.

The Kuwaiti National Assembly voted Monday to appoint a five- member investigative team to look into allegations that Al- Tanmiya for Commerce and Marketing Co., a local trucking and real estate firm, made unlawful profits on its contract with Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg Brown & Root (KBR) to supply gasoline, kerosene and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) destined for Iraq.
