CORRECTION/date 02-17-2004: To correct an item in Sunday's Business section, a Filene's Basement will open this spring in the Woodfield Village Green shopping center on Golf Road in Schaumburg.

Filene's Basement, an off-price retailer that left the suburban market more than a decade ago, is making a return this spring.
Surprisingly, Filene's Basement is planning to set up shop in the Streets of Woodfield, the same Schaumburg shopping center where it once operated. The store, on Martingale Road near Woodfield Shopping Center, had a different look and was then known as One Schaumburg Place.
