SEOUL, Feb. 17 (Yonhap) -- Hanaro Telecom Inc., South Korea's second-largest broadband Internet operator, said Tuesday it is seeking to increase sales by 9 percent to 1.5 trillion won (US$1.3 billion) this year.

Hanaro, which is 39.6 percent owned by American International Group and Newbridge Capital, also plans to achieve its first annual net profit in 2004.
