PARIS -- It was a contradiction in color at Maison & Objet here last month. On one hand lots of color, especially in the red to orange family in fabrics and bed and bath. On the other hand, a serene abundance of neutrals and naturals, especially at the very upper end of the bedding market.
Oranges and reds were clear favorites in the color derby, but a softer palette is coming on--almost sweet and feminine in feeling. And black and white are important fashion statements throughout the home.
Dozens of reds--from clear brights to influences on purples and oranges that ranged from citrus to coppery tones--were prevalent.
