CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio -- Health Care Logistics Inc. (HCL) offers medical professionals a variety of products to assist them in complying with the proposed Food and Drug Administration rule aimed at curbing medication errors.
The rule calls for putting bar codes on all prescription medications, over-the-counter drugs packaged for hospital use and vaccines. The FDA estimates that the rule could result in a 50% increase in the interception of medication errors at the dispensing and administration stages.
