Korbel Champagne Cellars is setting out on a new course of international marketing, President Gary Heck disclosed at an all-day tour, blending session and launching of a new catering director that the large Sonoma champagne facility henceforth will carry out its own foreign export program.
What this means, according to Heck, is that Brown-Forman will continue to handle all sales of Korbel champagnes and brandies within the United States--but Korbel takes over for all foreign markets. "We took back our own foreign sales, military sales, and transportation of wines to these outlets."
