Northern Kentucky churches are renting out movie theaters, even handing out free tickets to their members and virtual strangers so they can see the latest Hollywood flick. The magnitude of filmmaker and Hollywood megastar Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ" and its effect on Northern Kentucky churches, their congregations, even the wayward, is hard, if impossible, to measure.
The movie isn't set to be released until next Wednesday -- Ash Wednesday. Meanwhile, the publicity -- negative and positive -- about the film continues to swell.
