The alleged recruiting abuses within the University of Colorado football program have had a rippling effect on college athletics with the debris (backlash) washing ashore every Division I campus, including the University of Wisconsin. Sensitive to these issues and the concomitant front page publicity that has been generated by the accusations of sexual misconduct in Boulder, Colo., UW football coach Barry Alvarez acknowledged, "What has happened there (Colorado) has raised all of our antennas."
