The firms listed in Futures' 2004 SourceBook are broken into four groups--brokers/advisors, information suppliers, electronic/computer services and professional services. Some categories are defined by the NFA or CFTC; some are self-explanatory. In other cases, firms placed themselves or were placed into categories that best fit. Firms were limited to a few main categories, so some may fit in more than are indicated here.
