TEMPE, Ariz. - If sometimes it seems, on these recent visits to the Arizona desert, that an Oregon team is playing against players from Oregon, it is because that is exactly the case.
Women's basketball programs in the Pac-10 Conference long have mined the Oregon high school talent pool, extracting those in-state athletes to compete for those out-of-state teams and against Oregon and Oregon State.
