The calamity a day after Christmas in the Indian Ocean has thrown the Iraq campaign into a harsh perspective where calculated aggression and natural disaster are together thrust before us, begging comprehension.
Not a Bible reader, I nevertheless saw the hand of some god smiting humankind for its inhuman acts. He, or It, said of World War I, bad deal; of WW II, bad deal - you should have spotted Hitler in the '30s; of Vietnam, bad deal - you faked the reason; but now in ravaging Iraq you've gone too far. Here's something for you to think about. Then He, or It, let tectonic plate A slip just a tad on tectonic plate B.
