Lafjord USA of Mill Creek, Wash., is suing Marine Harvest over a smoked-salmon contract with Costco Wholesale. Lafjord accuses Marine Harvest of intentionally sabotaging its contract with Costco so that the salmon supplier could sell smoked salmon direct to Costco.

Marine Harvest supplied salmon for Costco's Kirkland Signature smoked-salmon program as a subcontractor to Lafjord until December 2003, according to the complaint filed in U.S. District Court in Seattle in mid-December.
