Feb. 26--Bekaert Textiles USA Inc. is requesting up to $230,000 in local economic incentives to help pay for a two-phase expansion of its plant at Union Cross Business Park in southeast Forsyth County.
Bekaert plans to add 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space with the expansion, as well as up to 60 employees who would make $11 to $14 an hour, Bob Leak, the president of the Winston-Salem Business Inc. economic-development group, said yesterday.
