There was no doubt that Wolfgang Bernhard would drive the Chrysler ME Four-Twelve supercar onto the stage at the Detroit auto show in January. The Chrysler group's COO had been at the wheel of the project since Day One.
The car was vintage Bernhard. The 43-year-old German wanted it to reach 60 mph in less than 3 seconds. He demanded complete secrecy within the Chrysler group and a running version within a year.
