ONE more time. That's what my buddy said his boss gave him. One more time to be late for work, to come running through the door after 9 a.m. "And you might as well turn around because you're history," he told me, as he mimicked his boss.

Expecting to hear a good reason for his tardiness (traffic, oversleeping, car problems), I asked him why he was late for work. "A girl," he blurted out. "A dang gift."

Turns out, he was late because he spotted a shapely Sister in a short skirt walking just a few blocks from the office. According to him, she had it going on. Hair laid. Lips glossed. And curves in all the right places.
