The Rocky Mountain News dominated the Colorado Press Association's annual journalism competition Saturday, a day after winning the most awards of any large newspaper in another statewide contest.
The News won the CPA's award for general excellence for the ninth straight year. It also was recognized for having the best reporting and writing and the best photo and design in the large newspaper category.
Photographer Marc Piscotty won the Best of Show award in the photo and design category for his work on a three-day series called "Russia's Rocky Flats" about a region turned into a radioactive hell by contamination ...
