Koozma Tarasoff has devoted the last fifty years of his life to telling the story of the Spirit Wrestlers (the Doukhobors) through publications, film, and lecture. Although never formally attached to any Canadian academic institution, he has managed to research and amass an amazing amount of data on this very unique people. Having spent many years researching Doukhobor history, I would have to say that this book is certainly the finest available.
