TODAY is St David's Day.But, to misquoteMichael Caine, not a lot of people seem to know that. In 16 days time, the streets of Liverpool will be awash with revellers celebrating St Patrick's Day -a great many of whom will have no Irish connection whatsoever.
But, generally, much less fuss seems to be made of St David's Day, while the ECHO receives lots of letters around this time of year from readers who ask why St George's Day (April 23) is allowed to pass virtually unnoticed.
