MINERAL POINT -- A year ago as an eighth-grader, Brit Hauge watched as the New Glarus girls basketball team lost in a regional final on the same court.
Hauge made sure her teammates wouldn't suffer the same fate this year.
Hauge, a freshman guard, scored three of New Glarus' four points in overtime as the second-seeded Glarner Knights beat top-seeded Barneveld 32-28 in a WIAA Division 4 regional final Saturday afternoon.
New Glarus (20-3) will play Monticello, the team that eliminated the Glarner Knights last season, in a semifinal of the Evansville sectional Friday in Verona.
