2004 JAN 14 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- Roche announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved labeling for use of the prescription weight-loss medication Xenical (orlistat) in the management of obese adolescents ages 12 to 16 years.
This is the first approval of its kind for a prescription weight-loss treatment.
"This is very good news for adolescents struggling with overweight and obesity," said Marc S.
