This really happened: A rape victim hoping to avoid pregnancy went to a Texas pharmacy with a prescription written by her emergency room doctor for the Plan B contraceptive - and the pharmacist, citing religious objections, refused to fill it.
This wasn't a teenager seeking an abortion pill to protect her from the consequences of casual sex. This was a woman traumatized by a violent sexual crime trying to fill a prescription for a safe, effective drug that is essentially a high-strength birth control pill.
