A berth in the OSAA Class 4A tournament will be at stake today when the Sheldon girls basketball team hosts North Medford at 7 p.m.
The winner of tonight's playoff game will open the eight-team state tournament at the University of Portland's Chiles Center on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. against either Redmond or Jefferson.
The third-ranked Irish (23-2) won their second straight Midwestern League title this year with a perfect 16-0 mark, one of two 4A girls teams to finish undefeated in conference play. Southridge won the Metro League with an 18-0 record.
