RAILFREIGHT and part of passenger operations in Zambia were privatised in December 2003 with the award of concessions. The winner of the international bidding was Railway Systems of Zambia (RSZ), a consortium led by New Limpopo Bridge Projects Investments with the South African railway, Spoornet, as a major shareholder.
