Does everyone know that Google is now a verb? None less than Joe Hickerson, in responding to a request for information about a song replied: "Well, I googled it and ..."
In Sing Out! v.24#4 this column included the suggestion that the line in "Bread and Roses": "... We battle too fro men / For they are women's children and we mother them again ..." be changed to "For they are women's brothers and we march with them again." A change I like even better is: "For we share a common struggle and together we will win."
Seeing "Roll the Woodpile Down" printed in v.47#1, Rick Ilowite was reminded that, in addition to the recordings cited with the lead sheet, ...
