Mar. 4--Four new affordable-housing developments are heading toward construction, and three more are in the pipeline. Altogether, these projects will bring 672 units of new housing to town in a few years' time, raising concerns of residents and officials that growth will be too fast.
There will be single-family houses, apartments, and condominiums. Two projects will result in 180 apartments each. Another project, the Villages at Pinehurst, calls for 60 single-family houses on Pinehurst Avenue. Richard A. Colantuoni, chairman of Billerica's Zoning Board of Appeals, which ...
