SEOUL, March 4 (Yonhap) -- Hanaro Telecom Inc., South Korea's second-largest broadband Internet operator and minor fixed-line telephone company, is offering price cuts in its traditional telephone service this month, as part of a drive to lure customers from market leader KT Corp.

In March, customers, when they sign up for Hanaro's local telephone service, will receive 50 percent deductions on service fees, such as per-call costs, and other freebies.
