Mar. 5--QUESTION: Perhaps readers should be made aware that MBNA America is enclosing annual percentage rate change notices in the monthly [credit card] bill envelope that appears to be "junk insert stuff" that we normally throw away. For some random reason this month, I read the inserted material. This may serve as the basis for a "watch out" article.

ANSWER: Watch out, indeed. Credit card companies can change the terms of your agreement with as little as 15 days notice. Nothing is sacred, including your so-called "fixed" interest rate. ...
