The term e-business continues to mean different things to different people, but in 2004 can be safely described as the connecting of different business systems (usually software applications) and individuals using information technology and wired and wireless telecommunications services.

E-business means you can "do business" electronically, irrespective of differences in computing platform or telecommunications service.
