Evelyn Hudson spoke fondly of the late Rev. Leonard "Eli" Whitney, founder of a Camillus church and a devout Syracuse University supporter.
"I think of Psalm 143:8 when I think of him," said Hudson, a longtime friend. "It goes something like, "At dawn, let me hear of your kindness....'
"He showed a loving kindness toward everyone."
Whitney, 87, died Sunday after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage on Feb.24. He and his wife of 22 years, Beatrice, lived in Camillus, moving to Baldwinsville just a few years ago.
Services for Whitney will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel United Methodist Church on ...
