Regulars at To Go Bakery in the South End rave about the homemade muffins, scones and sandwiches. But when it comes to sweets, To Go's giant chocolate-chip cookies are the true crowd pleaser.
"They're the most popular cookie we sell," said owner Scott Popkowski. "We probably sell two- or three dozen a day. We get special orders, and we do a ton of catering with smaller versions of our cookie; they're extremely popular."
The key is to not compromise on ingredients. "We use the best flour, we use the best sugar, the best butter and the best chocolate," Popkowski said. "If you don't use the best, it doesn't come out the same.
