According to Krahe, Waizenhofer, and Moller, because the vast majority of sexual assaults are perpetrated by men, sexual aggression research has focused predominantly on men's use of coercive strategies against women. Very few studies have examined the prevalence, antecedents, and consequences of women's sexual aggression against men. "The present study was designed to contribute to this emerging database by exploring the prevalence of women's sexual aggression among adolescents and young adults in Germany" (p. 220).
