Over the years Samsung Heavy Industries has built up an impressive reference list of vessels for the offshore market. One of the most interesting ship-shape designs currently on order at Samsung is a very special FPSO to operate in the White Rose field off the eastern coast of Newfoundland--a hazardous and inhospitable area, located in an iceberg zone. The most recent new production unit stationed there was the Terra Nova FPSO, completed by Daewoo in 1999.
