Gaining momentum as more veterans learn about the opportunities franchising offers, IFA's Veterans Transition Franchise Initiative (VetFran) continues to grow. Currently, 132 IFA-member companies are actively participating in VetFran. Among them, 27 companies have awarded a total of 72 franchises and an estimated 60 deals are "in the pipeline."
Recent communication by the US Small Business Administration to its national Small Business Development Centers has generated additional interest and the ongoing efforts of the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs and the Veterans Corp. have also boosted the program's visibility.
