The Norwegian postal services company Posten Norge AS (Norway Post) said on Tuesday (9 March) that it had agreed to acquire the transport company Nor-Cargo Holding ASA from Det Stavangerske Dampskibsselskab ASA and Vesteraalens Dampskibsselskap ASA.
Norway Post said that it would pay NOK850m in cash for the shares and an additional NOK100m for financial holdings and interest, which makes the deal the largest single transaction in the company's 356-year history.
