BRUSSELS, Belgium, March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Schering-Plough Europe today reported that results of a randomised Phase III clinical study demonstrated that CAELYX(TM) (pegylated liposomal doxorubicin hydrochloride) provided comparable efficacy in the first-line treatment of metastatic breast cancer with significantly reduced cardiac toxicity compared to conventional doxorubicin, one of the most active drugs in the treatment of breast cancer.
