Mar. 11--TRIO OF SANDWICHES PUTS JACK ON A ROLL: I suspect Jack may be undergoing an identity crisis. Jack in the Box, the fast-food chain known for Ultimate Cheeseburgers and monster tacos, recently entered the deli arena with a "classics on a roll" lineup.
Now Jack is dabbling in the gourmet sandwich market with the Pannido -- a trio of foot-long meals served on specialty bread.
The Pannido isn't ordinary deli fare; no short sandwiches piled high with meat and veggies on French rolls. Instead, it's long and lean -- a veritable stretch limo ...
