Furniture's versatility and adaptability--its ability to fit into consumers' lives in a variety of ways--figured into judges' thinking as they presided over the 2003 Pinnacle Awards competition. The winning designs in the annual competition sponsored by the American Society Furniture Designers can be used in large houses or small, by children or adults, and even indoors or outdoors.
