TACOMA -- Doug Noteboom made his only two points count.
The Puyallup senior hit a 15-foot jumper with 1:09 left to give the Vikings a 41-40 lead. They defeated Pasco 44-40 in the 4A state basketball tournament yesterday at the Tacoma Dome.
"They had big guys on me all game, and I couldn't get an open look," Noteboom said. "I finally got one, and I just concentrated, looked at the basket and let it go."
The victory broke a string of 11 consecutive tournament losses for the Vikings, who will play in the quarterfinals for the first time since 1991.
