WASHINGTON, March 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Gerard Pangaud, 51, chef-owner of Gerard's Place restaurant, 915 15th Street N.W. in Washington, D.C., has been nominated for the prestigious American Express Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic category of the James Beard Foundation Awards. Chef Pangaud was also nominated for this category in 1996, 1997, and 1998.
The James Beard Foundation Awards -- established in 1990 -- recognize culinary professionals for excellence and achievement in their field.
