CLEVELAND _ Drenched in sweat and emotionally drained, Bryan Bedford exited the court at Gund Arena seconds before several hundred Western Michigan fans sprinted to half court in celebration.

Their Broncos had just won the Mid-American Conference Tournament with a 77-66 victory over Kent State on Saturday night, and Bedford needed time to figure out what went wrong.

But the more he searched for answers, the more Bedford realized this was his last chance to reach the NCAA Tournament.

"For me personally, I feel we let everybody down," said Bedford, a senior forward.
