Mar. 12--ALTOONA, Pa. -- Sheetz Inc. is continuing efforts to obtain a license to sell beer, though more than 6,000 people have signed a petition asking it not to.
Chairman Steve Sheetz said in a telephone interview yesterday that the company's application to sell beer at a new store under construction in Altoona remains before Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, Harrisburg.
