The increase in the international price of copper is having an effect on the Peruvian industrial machinery sector, as it is driving up production costs and the price of the final product, says Mr. Pedro Bustamante, director of Ememsa (Empresa Metal Mecanica). This has been the case for Ememsa, one of whose main activities is the production of valves for gas tanks.
