Silicon Graphics (NYSE:SGI) has debuted a heterogeneous Storage Area Network (SAN) that fully supports Mac OS X: SGI InfiniteStorage Shared Filesystem CXFS. Mac OS X is used extensively in film studios, post production and visual effects houses, broadcast stations and digital publishing facilities.
