As of July 2006, more than 1.1mil m tons of steel coils manufactured by the Brazilian iron & steel company CST (Companhia Siderurgica de Tubarao) will be transported through special vessels from the state of Espirito Santo to the port of Sao Francisco do Sul (Santa Catarina) where a metallurgical pole is installed.
