Mar. 16--Residents of three group homes in Monmouth County are temporarily living in a local hotel while environmental specialists work to remove mold recently discovered in their bathrooms and attic, a state official confirmed yesterday.
Pam Ronan, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Human Services, said the mold was discovered during annual inspections of the 11 group homes run by Developmental Services of New Jersey. Ronan said inspectors found mold in bathrooms of the Freehold Township home on Feb. 26 and the Manalapan home on March 5.
