Like last fall's "Alien Quadrilogy" box set, the second installment in the DVD release of Charlie Chaplin's films is almost too much to wrap one's head around.
The 10 discs that make up "The Chaplin Collection: Volume 2" ($70 at www.amazon.com ) offer so much material and pure pleasure that it'll be months before you get through it all.
Unlike Volume 1, which attempted to ease today's audiences into the subject by concentrating on Chaplin's post-silent-era productions ("Modern Times," "Limelight," "The Great Dictator"), this latest edition concentrates on his early two-reelers and features.
