LEGAZPI CITY A former police intelligence officer was gunned down by suspected communist assassins last Sunday morning on 11th St., Dona Clara Village, barangay Concepcion Pequena, Naga City, police said.
Killed was retired police Superintendent Ramon Claros, 67, former intelligence officer of the Naga City and Camarines Sur Provincial Police Offices, of Dimasalang St., barangay Sta. Cruz, Naga.
Chief Supt. Jaime Lasar, Bicol police director, condemned the killing of Claros, calling it a dastardly act by the communist terrorists who have resorted to the killing of even an unarmed retired police officer.
