SKYPIX CORP. SECURES ADDITIONAL INVESTORS FOR ITS PPV DBS SERVICE
Fiscally troubled SkyPix Corp.'s financial ship finally may have come in last week as the Kent, Wash.-based firm announced it had signed an agreement with four "strategic partners" for its proposed 80-channel, pay-per-view, direct broadcast satellite (DBS) project.
Once executed, the contracts, coupled with the news late last month that Mitsubishi International Corp. had agreed to provide financing for the project (SN, Sept. 30, p. 10), likely will bolster industry confidence in SkyPix.
