OTTERSPOOL and Egremont promenades were last night named as pilot areas in a multi- million pound project to put pride back into the Mersey.
The Mersey Waterfront Experience is to transform the shorelines on both sides of the river into a huge leisure zone.
Promenades in South Liverpool and Wallasey will be the first stretches of shoreline to be upgraded under the scheme announced yesterday by Mersey Waterfront as it celebrated its first anniversary.
