NEW YORK -- Michael Kors is wasting no time in his mission to build a $1 billion empire. Sportswear for his better-priced Michael Michael Kors collection won't debut in department stores until August, but he is already moving ahead by launching an extensive collection of Michael outerwear and accessories. While the handbags are manufactured in-house, the coats are licensed to Herman Kay Bromley. Both categories will hit stores in the fall, in sync with the better collection's rollout.
